The San Francisco 49ers’ star tight end George Kittle has cleared the ankle pain that bothered him earlier this week ahead of Sunday’s NFC title Game against the Green Bay Packers. Kittle did not practice on Wednesday because of his ankle injury but was a full participant in practice on Thursday and Friday.
Kittle has been the 49ers’ most dangerous pass catcher all year and torched the Packers in the regular season by notching six receptions for 129 yards and a score. He’ll be looking to rebound from a quiet Divisional Round performance against the Minnesota Vikings.
Fantasy football analysis: 49ers TE George Kittle
Kittle only finished with three receptions for 16 yards against the Minnesota Vikings last week. That was worse than his previous season low of 17 yards. But his last matchup against Green Bay at Levi’s Stadium is encouraging. Kittle should in good shape on Sunday against the Packers’ middling pass defense.
