If Brogdon were to sit the next two games, you can fire up Aaron Holiday again and we’d likely see more T.J. McConnell again as well.
After returning to the lineup on New Year’s Eve vs. the Philadelphia 76ers, Brogdon was forced to exit the game early due to a back injury. He had missed three games previously due to back spasms, which have hampered him for most of the season. The Pacers also ruled out Edmond Sumner (knee) for the game against Denver.
Fantasy Basketball Analysis: Indiana Pacers G Malcolm Brogdon
With Brogdon out, we’ve seen Aaron Holiday step into the starting lineup and perform well. Holiday played 31 minutes on NYE and posted seven assists, five rebounds and a pair of blocks. This isn’t an easy matchup for the Pacers, but at $5,700 on DraftKings, Holiday has some bargain appeal. He isn’t a bad cash-game play at a low salary since we know he should play around 30 minutes in what is expected to be a competitive game. This is also a bump for T.J. McConnell ($4,300), who would serve as backup PG.
