Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day! This is always a fun slate each season as the NBA schedules games throughout the entire day, starting at 2:00 p.m. ET. In total we’ve got 14 games set for Monday, which I believe is the most in one day we’ll see all season. With so much action, there will be plenty of storylines and injuries to track throughout the day.
We were close to seeing Zion Williamson be ready in time for a matchup between what was supposed to be the top two rookies this season. The Pelicans are traveling to Memphis to take on the Grizzlies, though Zion is doubtful and expected to make his NBA debut later in the week. Ja Morant is already running away with Rookie of the Year and has the Grizz on a seven-game winning streak.
We’ve also got a big ticket rivalry with the Lakers in Boston to take on the Celtics. What would normally be a must-watch game, both the Celtics and Lakers are dealing with injuries to key players. Kemba Walker and Jaylen Brown are questionable, while Anthony Davis and Rajon Rondo the same. If we get the whole gang back for Monday night, that would be ideal.
