The Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers square off in Super Bowl 54 on Sunday, February 2nd. We’ll be breaking down everything you need to know to prepare your daily fantasy football lineups for the big game. We’re starting with a player-by-player preview for the skill position players on the two teams.

Kyle Juszczyk is one of the best fullbacks in the league due to his versatility as a receiver and blocker. There’s not much he can’t do but for fantasy purposes, he sometimes can have sneaky value as a receiver.

He started his career with the Ravens and moved on to the 49ers after four season. He’s now been with San Francisco for three seasons and continues to average around two receptions per game.

Season performance

Juszczyk sprained his MCL in Week 5 against the Browns and returned in Week 10 against the Seahawks. He fits Kyle Shanahan’s creative run game as a blocker but also has one game where he caught seven passes this season. In the last four games of the season he caught 8-of-8 targets for 100 yards and one touchdown.

Playoff performance

Much like many of the 49ers receivers, Juszczyk hasn’t been needed in the playoffs and hasn’t had one target. He’s seen 70 and 73 percent of the snaps in the playoffs, the most for him this season, as the team has gone full run game and he’s needed as a run blocker.

Matchup

The Chiefs have given up a lot of receptions and yards to running backs this season, as teams are often in pass mode against them and their defense of outside wide receivers has been one of the better ones in the league. In the regular season, they allowed the fourth-most receptions and the most yards to running backs, giving Juszczyk a possible in for fantasy.

DFS pricing and analysis

Juszczyk is super cheap and in a good matchup. He could easily end up getting no touches, but if this game lives up to its 54-point over/under, there’s a good chance he will see a couple targets and knowing Shanahan, there’s a real chance he has a good play for his fullback to get into the end zone. I like Juszczyk as a decent punt play in GPPs.
