UPDATE: Jan. 24, 5:16 p.m. — Brown has also been ruled out vs. the Grizzlies.
Boston Celtics SF/PF Jayson Tatum will not play Friday vs. the Orlando Magic due to a groin injury. We’re still awaiting word on Jaylen Brown, who is questionable to play due to a right ankle sprain.
Tatum says he’s out tonight. But feels better.

Fantasy basketball analysis: Boston Celtics G/F Gordon Hayward
With Tatum sidelined, we already know Hayward is going to play a bigger role in the offense. If Brown is also ruled out, even better for Hayward. At $6,800, he’s a bit cheaper than Kemba Walker ($7,500) and should accumulate more counting stats (rebounds, assists). We’ve seen two cases recently with the Celtics banged up in which Hayward went off. He had 22 points, seven assists and seven rebounds against the Suns last Saturday (44.75 DKFP). Before that, Hayward posted 25 points and seven boards vs. the Detroit Pistons (38.75 DKFP). With Enes Kanter (hip) also sidelined, the Celtics may run smaller lineups with Hayward at the 4.
