We’ve got five games on Saturday night’s main slate on DraftKings. We’ll be going over the surefire DFS hits for each position. Here are the core plays we think you should make.
Point Guard
Collin Sexton, CLE @ CHI, $6,800 — Sexton is coming into his own and has scored at least 25 points in five of his last seven games. He has the keys to the offense and has been taking anywhere from 15 to 20 shots per game. Tomas Satoransky and Zach LaVine don’t post much of a threat defensively. Look for Sexton to go get his regardless of the score.
Other Options: Zack LaVine, CHI vs. CLE, $9,200; Chris Paul, OKC vs. MIN, $7,000
Shooting Guard
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, OKC @ MIN, $7,600 — Gilgeous-Alexander is quietly becoming one of the most consistent DFS plays you’ll find. Two other guards on his team average more than 20 minutes per contest, but he still manages to contribute nightly as scorer and rebounder. He hasn’t been a single digit scorer since mid-December and has dropped below 30 DKFP once this month. He doesn’t break the bank and has multiple ways to rack up points.
Small Forward
LeBron James, LAL vs. PHI, $10,400 — James has continued to be the do-it-all player he’s always been this season. The league’s leading assist man is also averaging more than 25 points per game and will possibly be asked to carry a heavier load than usual if Anthony Davis sits Friday because of his glute contusion. James we be involved in every phase of the game and will have the ball in his hands too much to not put up plenty of DKFP.
Other Options: Tobias Harris, PHI vs. LAL, $7,100
Power Forward
Kevin Love, CLE vs. CHI, $7,900 — Love’s mix of consistent, scoring, rebounding, and 3-point shooting makes him an ideal choice on most night’s. Chicago’s lack of froncourt depth makes the big man’s ceiling even higher than usual though. The Bulls’ starting power forward Lauri Markannen will be out Saturday, as will centers Wendell Carter Jr. and Daniel Gafford. I like Love’s chances to stuff the stat sheet against backups.
Other Options: Danilo Gallinari, OKC @ MIN, $6,700; Al Horford, PHI @ LAL, $6,500
Center
Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN vs. OKC, $10,000 — KAT has already found his rhythm after missing significant time while dealing with a knee injury and illness. He has tallied more than 50 DKFP in three consecutive contests and will be up against a Thunder team without its rock — Steven Adams — down low. KAT tallied 58.8 DKFP the last time he played the Thunder, in Oklahoma City. This time he’ll be at home, which doesn’t bode well for the opposition.
