UPDATE: Jan. 28, 5:57 p.m. — Embiid will play vs. the Warriors. It’s unclear if he’ll have a minutes restriction right now, but I’d imagine that may be the case. If anything, he’ll be monitored. With Embiid back, it’s a downgrade to Ben Simmons and Tobias Harris, though the matchup is solid considering the Dubs can’t play defense. Embiid isn’t a viable DFS play right away, though he’s an interesting GPP option. In season-long, I’d say it’s fine to roll him out.

Philadelphia 76ers C Joel Embiid is questionable to play in Tuesday’s game vs. the Golden State Warriors. Embiid underwent hand surgery back on Jan. 10 and has been out for the past two weeks. He is close to returning for the Sixers, who have gone 6-3 without the big man in the lineup.
Zhaire Smith did not participate in practice today. He’s questionable for tomorrow.

Joel Embiid is listed as questionable for tomorrow. He will see the hand surgeon who did the procedure tomorrow before the game to see if he can go tomorrow. #Sixers
Fantasy basketball analysis: Philadelphia 76ers PG/SF Ben Simmons
So with the return of Embiid on the horizon, this could impact Ben Simmons in fantasy basketball the most. We’ve seen Simmons thrive over the past nine games with Embiid out of the lineup. In that stretch, Simmons is averaging 21.6 points, 9.3 rebounds and 7.9 assists while playing 39.5 minutes per game. I’d imagine Embiid could be eased back into action on a minutes limit Tuesday, so Simmons’ value may be OK for the time being. But once Biid is back to 100%, Simmons will undoubtedly take a value hit on the offensive end. He’ll see fewer touches and shots. Still, Simmons is a must-start in season-long and we’ll see how viable he is in DFS once the price adjusts.
