Opening point spreads for January 3rd NBA schedule [UPDATE]

We’re tracking the movement on the lines for Friday’s six-game slate throughout the day.

We’ve got six games on tap for the first Friday of 2020 in the NBA. The Orlando Magic will operate in their first game without F Jonathan Isaac, who is expected to miss up to two months due to a severe knee sprain. The Magic will take on their in-state rivals, the Miami Heat, who are playing the second of a tough back-to-back after a hard-fought win over the Toronto Raptors on Thursday.

The Philadelphia 76ers and the Houston Rockets play in the most intriguing game of the night. Joel Embiid is off the injury report after missing Tuesday’s game due to a knee injury. Embiid is fine and should go back to starting against the Rockets. As far as storylines go, Anthony Davis and the Los Angeles Lakers welcome in the New Orleans Pelicans for revenge nights on both sides. AD will face his former team, while the same can be said for Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart and Lonzo Ball. We’ll be sure to keep an eye out for Lavar Ball at Staples Center.

Below are opening point spreads and the over/under for each of the games on schedule for tonight:

Heat @ Magic (+1.5, 207.5) 7:00 p.m. ET
Trail Blazers @ Wizards (+6.5, 236) 7:00 p.m. ET
