Tow of the better kickers in the league face off in the Super Bowl. Who is the better DFS play?

In 2019, Harrison Butker led all kickers in scoring and fantasy points while Robbie Gould had a rough start to the season but ended up coming on strong to finish. Butker led the NFL in in 2019 with 34 made field goals, missing four total, three from outside 50 yards and one under 39 yards. Gould made 23 total field goals and missed eight, including all four of his 50-plus yard attempts. He missed three games with a strained quad but did finish seventh in fantasy points per game. To start the season Gould made just 14-of-22 field goals, but since Week 14 he has made his last 14 field goals, including five in the playoffs.

Fantasy football analysis: 49ers K Robbie Gould, Chiefs K Harrison Butker

Gould comes into the Super Bowl having put up 13, 12, 10, 9, 9 and 16 DraftKings points in his last six games, while Butker his 10, 13, 10, 10, 8, 9, 5 in his last seven. Both have good upside in a game where DraftKings Sportsbook has the over/under set at 54 points and the 49ers as slight -1.5 underdogs. If the game ends up high scoring and close, both Butker and Gould have a great chance to put up double-digit DK points.

The 49ers and Chiefs both gave up very few field goals and extra points on the season, as teams often in comeback mode against both teams and needed to score touchdowns over field goals. This game, if it stays close, could give both kickers plenty of opportunities.

DFS Recommendation

Both kickers have similar appeal, but Harrison Butker has had the better leg on the season.
