Everybody cross your fingers that Luka Doncic will be able to play in the All-Star game. It’s a ways away, but Doncic re-injured his ankle and is expected to miss Friday’s game vs. the Rockets. He’s set to get an MRI, so we’ll see how bad the injury is, but for now it looks like Luka is gonna miss a few games. That’ll obviously impact the lines a bit, so keep an eye on Dallas-Houston to see if there’s some value early on. This could be a lopsided Rockets win.
We also have to keep an eye on Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was surprisingly ruled out the other night against the Wizards. My thinking is it was because the Bucks were, well, facing the Wizards. It was an easy win and the team didn’t need Giannis to make it to 41-6. Antetokounmpo should be back in the lineup Friday, but we’ll have to wait and see. The Bucks get the Nuggets, so it’s another spot we could see a short line early on, which will shift depending on Giannis’ status.
