Who to play of Miles Sanders or Devin Singletary

Miles Sanders’ diverse skill set makes him a better option than Devin Singletary this weekend.

Running back will be one of the most important positions in DFS contests for Wild Card weekend’s four-game slate, and we want you you make the right choices. Quite a few of the running back’s scheduled to play won’t impact the game significantly, and identifying which ones have the best chance to make big plays is critical. We’ve prepared start/sit advice for two options that could make a difference on Saturday and Sunday here:

Miles Sanders ($6,200) was limited for the Philadelphia Eagles’ season finale because of an ankle injury he suffered while facing the New York Giants. The Buffalo BillsDevin Singletary ($6,000) was a healthy scratch in Week 17. But both have a chance to have strong performances in the Wild Card round.

Fantasy football analysis: Eagles RB Miles Sanders, Bills RB Devin Singletary

Sanders will likely split some of his workload with Boston Scott and Jordan Howard, as both are healthy heading into the weekend. But the rookie should still have higher upside than Singletary because of how effective he can be as a pass catcher out of the the backfield. Sanders and Singletary had comparable rushing totals, but Sanders tallied 22 more receptions and 315 more receiving yards. The Eagles’ depleted receiving corps could lead them to utilize Sanders’ unique skill set even more. He averaged 32.4 DKFP per contest before hurting his ankle in Week 17 and was a full participant in practice on Friday.

Singletary has blown by Frank Gore to become the Bills’ feature back but hasn’t shown the ability to put together jaw-dropping performances like Sanders has. Gore has been an afterthought for the second half of the season, but Singletary has only managed to total more than 20 DKFP once this year. Sanders has accomplished the feat four times.

DFS Recommendation

Start Sanders and sit Singletary on DraftKings this weekend.
