Dalvin Cook has not played since Week 15 of the regular season due to a shoulder/chest injury, but he was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and it looks like he will return for the Minnesota Vikings’ playoff matchup at the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Cook had an excellent regular season, leading this week’s four-game NFL slate on DraftKings with 22.1 DraftKings fantasy points (DKFP) per game. Cook was the second most productive fantasy back by DraftKings scoring on a per game basis during the regular season, behind only the PanthersChristian McCaffrey.

Fantasy football analysis: Minnesota Vikings RB Dalvin Cook

Cook is priced at $7,800 on DraftKings for this week’s four-game NFL slate, $15,000 for Showdown Captain, and $10,000 for Showdown flex. Cook’s fantasy appeal stems largely from heavy red zone touches. Despite missing two games, Cook was tied for the most rushing attempts inside the 10-yard line, which helped fuel a strong rushing TD total of 13, fourth best among RB. Cook also saw roughly 22 touches per game, another strong number. Provided Cook is not limited this week, Cook’s touch volume, especially near the end zone, gives him plenty of fantasy appeal at his lowest salary since Week 3.
