The NFC Wild Card round is complete and the Minnesota Vikings managed to overcome the odds to top the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Minnesota will now have to face the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round, so we broke down some possible sleeper picks you should consider playing in DraftKings DFS contests this coming weekend.
Kyle Rudolph, TE, Vikings
Rudolph is having a down year but proved he can still be a threat in critical moments when he made a game-winning touchdown catch against the Saints in the Wild Card round. Adam Thielen appears to be back in shape and should compliment Stefon Diggs on the outside. If Kirk Cousins does a better job of spreading the ball around Thielen and Diggs, Rudolph will be that much more open.
Emmanuel Sanders, WR, 49ers
San Francisco acquired Sanders from the Denver Broncos in hopes he could improve the receiving corps, but the 32-year-old has been hot and cold since joining the 49ers. While he scored touchdowns in each of his first two appearances with San Francisco, he only reached the end zone once in the final eight weeks of the regular season. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have plenty of upside. He torched the Saints for 157 yards on seven receptions in Week 14 and eclipsed 100 receiving yards in three games this year. It’s only a matter of time before he breaks out with another big game.
Matt Breida, RB, 49ers
Speed kills, and Breida has a ton of it. Although the third-year back has fallen behind Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman on the depth chart, his workload has been almost identical to Coleman’s in recent weeks. Breida ran for more than 110 yards in two games this season and has the kind of big-play ability that always makes him a threat.
