Stefon Diggs’ misses second straight practice with illness

Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs is dealing with an illness that is keeping him out of practice. We break down what it might mean for the Divisional Round.

The Minnesota Vikings wrapped up their second practice of the week, and wide receiver Stefon Diggs remains sidelined with an illness. Diggs was a DNP on Tuesday and was once again a DNP on Wednesday, according to ESPN’s Courtney Cronin.

There is no word on the specifics of the illness, so we’ll see what Thursday’s final injury report brings. An illness is often a little different than a traditional injury. Diggs might not need to practice if he’s still able to attend practices and meetings.

Diggs caught two passes for 19 yards in the team’s win over New Orleans, but was visibly upset prior to getting his first catch. It’s not the first time he’s been unhappy with the number of targets he gets and will be something to watch on Sunday. Adam Thielen returned in big form this past weekend, and even if Diggs play, he could play second fiddle once again to Thielen.
