How to handle Jamison Crowder injury in Week 4 fantasy football

Crowder is confident he will play Thursday night versus the Broncos

NFL: New York Jets at Buffalo Bills Rich Barnes-USA TODAY Sports

Game status: Jamison Crowder is ACTIVE for Week 4 Thursday Night Football.

Game day update: Crowder is expected to play, but will not be 100 percent, according to Tom Pelissero.

Jamison Crowder’s hamstring strain might end up costing him only two games. The ailment kept Crowder from practicing or playing in Weeks 2 and 3, but he was a limited participant in each of the New York Jets’ practices this week and said on Tuesday that he is confident that he will play and make it through Thursday’s affair versus the Denver Broncos. He is officially listed as questionable.

Fantasy impact: Jamison Crowder injury

Crowder was positively peppered with targets in Week 1 as he caught seven of 13 looks for 115 yards and a touchdown. Braxton Berrios filled in admirably while Crowder was on the shelf, leading the team in targets (12), catches (10) and receiving yards (123) while scoring in each game. But Berrios occupies the same spot as Crowder and played just one snap in Week 1. So, if Crowder is active, Berrios shouldn’t be anywhere near fantasy lineups. Crowder costs $5,200 on DraftKings and could be a serviceable WR3 in PPR leagues against a Broncos defense that ranks 29th versus wide receivers.
