The Denver Broncos will travel to MetLife Stadium to take on the New York Jets on Thursday and kick off Week 4 of the 2020 NFL season. Both sides are sporting 0-3 records, so one side team will likely come away from this matchup with its first win of the season.
The Broncos are missing several key pieces on offense, including Drew Lock and Courtland Sutton. Lock is still recovering from the Shoulder injury he suffered in Week 2 and will be replaced by Brett Rypien instead of Jeff Driskel in Week 4. Sutton is out for the season with a torn ACL, so Jerry Jeudy and Noah Fant are expected to do some heavy lifting in the passing game. The Broncos hopeful that Phillip Lindsay will be able to return from a toe injury to give them another option on offense.
The Jets’ are also undermanned. Le’Veon Bell is on the IR with a hamstring injury while Jamison Crowder, Chris Hogan, and Breshad Perriman are also banged up. Perriman has been ruled out of Thursday’s game while Crowder and Hogan are listed as questionable. Sam Darnold threw two pick-sixes in Week 3 while missing a key personnel, and he could struggle again if he doesn’t get at least one of his starting receivers back.
There’s not much star power in this matchup, but some layers who usually don’y get many plays called fro them could have higher ceilings in fantasy football. Here are some ESPN PPR points projections to give you an idea of what you can expect from key players on each side.
