In the first fight of UFC Fight Island 5, Bruno Silva will meet Tagir Ulanbekov in a flyweight bout on the preliminary card live from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi and available on ESPN+ this Saturday.

Ulanbekov, a teammate of current lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, will be a heavy favorite and the public is putting money that he’ll take down Silva. This will be Ulanbekov’s UFC debut, entering with a 12-1 MMA record. Ulanbekov has five submission wins with several other coming via decision, so he’ll want this fight on the ground.

His opponent is the 30-year-old Silva, who has two UFC fights under his belt with his most recent being a loss to #11 David Dvorak earlier this year. He’s a grappler as well, averaging 2.68 takedowns per 15 minutes in two graded fights. With a 12-4 career record that adds in two no-contests and one draw, the Sao Paolo, Brazil native will look for his first UFC victory.

Both fighters will want this bout to be mainly on the ground, and don’t expect this one to go all three rounds.
