College football Saturday should be another fun-filled experience from fans across the country. From the early window all the way to the nightcap featuring the No. 1 team in the country, there should be plenty of action and plenty of wagers going down on today’s games.

Here’s a look at some of my picks that hopefully should provide some insight into how you can make yourself a profitable Saturday.

All odds are via DraftKings Sportsbook.

The Picks

Tennessee +12 vs. Georgia

Tennessee won eight consecutive games dating back to last season, but the knock on it is who those wins were against. It’s true the Volunteers haven’t beaten the best of the SEC, but establishing a winning culture shouldn’t be dismissed.

There is not much to brag about at the quarterback position for either team. Jarrett Guarantano can be incredibly inconsistent despite being a veteran QB for the Volunteers, and Stetson Bennett was likely viewed as the fourth-string quarterback for the Bulldogs in the offseason.

What does this all mean? It means possessions will be limited, few points are going to be scored and this game remains close throughout. The under is a little low right now dipping down to 42.5, but Tennessee +12 after eight straight wins? I’ll take that.

Notre Dame -20.5 vs. Florida State

Florida State very well might be one of the worst Power 5 teams in college football. After only 21 games with Willie Taggart, the Mike Norvell era certainly hasn’t gone to plan. This started with some in-house controversy with the head coach and players in the offseason, and the in-season product doesn’t look a whole lot better.

Florida State lost to Georgia Tech, which is still in the middle of growing out of the triple-option offense, and was destroyed by Miami. The Seminoles found themselves down by 14 points before coming back on Jacksonville State.

Nothing about Florida State this season suggests it has much of a chance against the fifth best team in the country, Notre Dame, which hasn’t played since Sept. 19. Blowout is coming tonight in South Bend.

Alabama/Ole Miss OVER 70.5

Earlier this week when analyzing who would be the better football player, Lane Kiffin referred to Nick Saban as elderly. Saban was asked about it and played it off with a laugh and a few jokes, but this could not have helped Ole Miss’ cause in trying to stop the Alabama offense.

Even without these comments, I’m not sure this Ole Miss defense will be able to get many stops. It’s about as big of a mismatch as you can find among two SEC teams in terms of Alabama’s offense to Ole Miss’ defense.

At the same time, Kiffin knows how to score points. Alabama will reach the 50s, and I believe Ole Miss scores at least 21 in this game. It’s a high number, but let’s get after the over.
