Everyone with the Miami-Clemson first half under got Dabo’d

About as brutal a bad beat as you can take in college football thanks to the two-time national champion head coach.

With the #1 Clemson Tigers manhandling the #7 Miami Hurricanes in the first half of the game of the weekend, it looked all set for the Tigers to head into the locker room with at least a three-score lead.

But then head coach Dabo Swinney got greedy and went for a 61-yard field goal by kicker B.T. Potter, and the victims ended up being the home team... and first half under bettors.

As you can imagine, The U converted the PAT to send it to intermission 21-10 Clemson, and going over the first half total of 30.5.

To be fair to Swinney, he took full responsibility for the attempt at a massive field goal that ended up being a 10-point swing.

It also might have implications on the end of the game as well: Clemson closed as a 14-point favorite overall, and the Canes did start to show some life later in the first half. We’ll see if his, ahem, aggressive call affects bettors on both ends of the game.
