The New York Giants passing game has been rough to watch in many instances this season. But there’s reason to believe tight end Evan Engram could have his best game of the season this weekend against the Dallas Cowboys.
Engram has had a good amount of targets this season, with 30 through just four games. But he’s had a hard time producing much of anything, with just 17 catches for 131 yards off of those targets
Fantasy Football analysis: Giants TE Evan Engram
Quarterback Daniel Jones has given Engram a lot of chances to make plays this year, but he hasn’t been able to make the most of it. Though the match up this week indicates he could have his best game of the season.
The Cowboys defense has been susceptible to getting beat by tight ends. Dallas has given up at least 7 fantasy points to every tight end they’ve played and have given up 26 catches for 257 yards and three touchdowns.
The opportunity is there for Engram, and he’s sure to continue getting a lot of targets, but will he be able to capitalize on the opportunity?
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
With the high volume of targets Engram has been getting this year, he’s a solid play for PPR leagues. Start him there.
But in a standard league, he’d be a solid flex option, but to be TE1 might be a stretch.
