The Philadelphia Eagles aren’t getting much out of veteran tight end Zach Ertz these days. The worst part is that they could really, really use just a fraction of the kind of production Ertz used to give the team. But that’s just not happening, and he’s best left as an afterthought in fantasy football.
Fantasy Football analysis: Eagles TE Zach Ertz
Ertz had just nine yards on four catches last week against the 49ers. He’s got 139 yards on the season, half of which came in a 70-yard outing against the Bengals two weeks ago. Even with Dallas Goedert on injured reserve, Ertz hasn’t been able to fill the part of the void. He’s not helped by the rest of the team’s struggles, especially quarterback Carson Wentz.
That is unlikely to change this week with the Eagles on the road to play the Steelers. Tight ends are averaging barely more than 40 yards a game against Pittsburgh.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Sit Zach Ertz.
