With Seattle now, finally, committed to letting Russ cook, there’s a fortune worth of fantasy points to be had from the Seahawks’ skill players. Unfortunately for tight end Greg Olsen, he’s not sharing in that bounty, and you will have to avoid the temptation to have him in your lineups as a result.
Fantasy Football analysis: Seahawks TE Greg Olsen
Olsen had his best game of the season two weeks ago against against the Cowboys when he caught five passes on six targets for 61 yards. Last week against the Dolphins, he caught another five balls on seven targets, but picked up just 35 yards to show for it. He’s only found the end zone once this year too, back in Week 1.
This week, the Seahawks play the Vikings, not exactly one of the league’s more competent defenses. But they haven’t been bad at stopping tight ends; keeping them out of the end zone entirely this season. Olsen is a bit player in this offense, and should be left on the wire in fantasy.
