After losing to the Panthers in Week 4, the Arizona Cardinals should get back into the win column this week with a game against the Jets. That should mean wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins gets back into the mix as one of the top players at his position in fantasy football, but that might not be true for his teammate, Christian Kirk.
Fantasy Football analysis: Cardinals WRs DeAndre Hopkins, Christian Kirk
The Panthers defense devoted a lot of attention to Hopkins, limiting him to just 41 yards on seven catches, quite a come down from his 137-yard, 10-catch outing the week before. Not to worry, he won’t have that same problem against the New York Jets, and quarterback Kyler Murray should find it easy enough to hit his preferred target.
Kirk had his most productive outing of the season last week. Though he only caught three passes for 19 yards, he did manage to find the end zone. I’d still fade him this week. The Cardinals don’t involve him enough in the offense to make him a reliable fantasy option, and Arizona is likely to be running the ball an awful lot in what should be a pretty one-sided affair.
Be sure to keep an eye on the news around this game. It was reported Friday morning that a Jets player tested positive for COVID, which could force the league to move this game.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start DeAndre Hopkins. Sit Christian Kirk.
