The Los Angeles Chargers aren’t exactly rolling right now, riding a three-game losing streak into a Monday night showdown with the New Orleans Saints. However, it’s not all doom and gloom. Rookie quarterback Justin Herbert is slinging it, and there’s fantasy gold to be found on the roster. One player who should definitely be on your radar this week is tight end Hunter Henry.
Fantasy Football analysis: Chargers TE Hunter Henry
Henry’s coming off his worst outing of the season, catching just two passes for 39 yards against the Bucs last week. However, he’s averaging over 60 yards per game, and is second on the team in total targets.
What really makes this an attractive matchup for Henry is that the Saints defense has been one of the league’s worst when it comes to stopping opposing tight ends. They’re averaging more than 80 yards and a touchdown per game against New Orleans. L.A. is a 7.5-point underdog in this one too, meaning they could be airing it out a lot more to keep up. It’s also worth noting that with Austin Ekeler expected to miss several weeks, Henry’s target share could go up a bit too.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Hunter Henry.
