What a world we live in when a quarterback passing for 283 yards and one touchdown and one interception is considered a disappointment, but that’s what the situation is when Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs is still able to lead his team to a Week 4 victory over the New England Patriots.
Fantasy Football analysis: Chiefs TE Travis Kelce
It’s not just that Travis Kelce has led the Chiefs in receiving yards that should be encouraging, but he also led all Chiefs’ pass-catchers in targets last week against the Patriots.
Kelce could continue to see a significant amount of looks from Patrick Mahomes, but the Raiders have yet to allow an opposing tight end to go for over 30 yards in a game. In fact, the Raiders have allowed the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing tight ends all season.
But Kelce is by far the best tight end the Raiders will have faced through the season’s first five games, with the next-closest option being Jared Cook of the New Orleans Saints, who caught two passes for 13 yards and a touchdown. Kelce also has the best quarterback the Raiders have faced this season as well.
Did you really draft Kelce not to start him?
