What to do with Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison in Week 5 fantasy football

We go over Dalvin Cook and Alexander Mattison’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Vikings’ Week 5 matchup against the Seahawks.

The Minnesota Vikings have struggled on offense in 2020, but not because of Dalvin Cook.

Cook leads the NFL in rushing yards through the season’s first four games, in part off the back of an incredible performance last week against the Houston Texans where Cook finished with 130 yards and two touchdowns on the ground, adding 16 yards off two catches in the air.

This week, the Vikings travel to Seattle to face Russell Wilson and the Seahawks.

Fantasy Football analysis: Vikings RBs Dalvin Cook, Alexander Mattison

The Houston Texans? Allowing the third-most points to opposing running backs in 2020.

The Seattle Seahawks? Allowing the fifth-fewest.

Granted, the Seahawks allowed the two best running backs they’ve faced this season - Ezekiel Elliott of the Cowboys and Todd Gurley of the Falcons - to find the endzone against them, but Cook is going to have a much harder time to find room to run against the Seahawks.

The Vikings will give Cook every opportunity to have a big game against the Seahawks, as they’d much rather prefer Cook be the offense than Kirk Cousins. Mattison will just be used to give Cook a breather during the game.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Start Cook. Bench Mattison.
