The Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings go head-to-head Sunday night. The bulk of the fantasy points scored tonight are going to go to the likes of Russell Wilson, Chris Carson, Tyrell Lockett, D.K. Metcalf, Kirk Cousins, Dalvin Cook, Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. The question is, who are those one or two players further down the radar that will become critical in this game and help you roster more studs in the DraftKings Showdown?
David Moore, WR, Seahawks, $6,200
The trouble with these two teams is that they concentrate their touches to their top players and those players are efficient at taking all the fantasy points. The one Seahawks receiver who has good upside despite getting few looks, is Moore. Moore has caught a touchdown in two of his last three games and remains a deep threat, especially with Russell Wilson throwing the ball.
Greg Olsen, TE, Seahawks, $5,000
Olsen doesn’t have a lot of playing days left, but he’s managed five receptions in each of his last two games. He didn’t do a whole lot with those catches, but he remains a strong play if he can accumulate some short passes and find his way into the end zone.
Chris Carson, RB, Seahawks, $7,800
Carson doesn’t quite fit my value play process, as I try to point out plays under $7,000, but other than Moore and Olsen, nobody else is worth your time. But Carson, who has been a bit banged up, has a great price for his upside. He’s coming off his best game of the season, as he put up 100 yards and two touchdowns on 20 touches for 25 DK points. ON the season he has five touchdowns through four games and looks like he is healthy. Add in that the Vikings are hurting on their defensive line, and rank 24th in DVOA against the run, and you have a near must start.
