Game status: Cook is ACTIVE for Week 5.

Game day update: Jared Cook is expected to play, according to Tom Pelissero.

New Orleans Saints tight end Jared Cook showed up on the team’s Week 5 injury report with a questionable designation on Saturday afternoon. Cook has been practicing this week, on a limited basis. A groin injury kept him off the field last week, and did not practice at all in the lead up to that game. The Saints face the Chargers on Monday night.

Fantasy impact: Jared Cook injury

Cook had two catches for 21 yards in his last game, before he was forced to leave with his groin injury. In Week 2, he posted just 13 yards on two catches, but did manage to haul in a touchdown to pad his overall fantasy numbers. That is his only touchdown of the season so far.

We may not have confirmation that Cook will play this week until game time. If he does play, he’s probably not worth adding to most lineups for this one.
