We break down some of the latest betting splits for wagers on Game 6 of the 2020 NBA Finals.

Game 6 of the 2020 NBA Finals is set to tip off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Sunday and the Los Angeles Lakers only need to win one more game to secure a world championship. The Miami Heat have rallied to win two of the last three games in the series, but most bettors are banking on the underdogs not being able to fore a Game 7. Let’s go over the betting splits on DraftKings Sportsbook ahead of Sunday’s game.

The Lakers (-265) favored ahead of Game 6 and got major contributions from LeBron James and Anthony Davis in Game 5. The All-Star duo combined for 68 points, 25 rebounds, and 10 assists. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope came to play and chipped in with 16 points, but key role players like Dwight Howard and Markieff Morris were massive disappointments. The Heat (+215) were powered by another Jimmy Butler triple-double. The swingman played a ridiculous 47 minutes and saw five of his teammates crack double-digits in points. Duncan Robinson’s 26 points set Miami over the top, but other role players will likely need to be firing on all cylinders for the Heat to secure another win. The Lakers account for 78 percent of the handle and 70 percent of the total bets on money line wagers.

Los Angeles is a 5-point favorite, and bettors think it will cover the spread in this matchup. Four of the five games in this series have been decided by at least 10 points. Bettors have placed 77 percent of the handle and 67 percent of the total bets on the Lakers covering the spread, and that outcome seems likely given that the winning side has generally won by a wide margin.

The over/under for total points in Game 6 is set at 214.5 and 76 percent of the handle is on the over. I expect players to tighten up in this game though, so the under seems like the better option. James and Davis both played 42 minutes in Game 5, and four of the Heat’s starters played at least 37 minutes. It would be surprising to see both sides set the nets ablaze in a potential closeout game.
