UPDATE: The Chiefs announced early in the 4th quarter Watkins has been downgraded to OUT.

UPDATE: The Chiefs have announced Watkins is questionable to return with a hamstring injury.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins appears to have hurt his hamstring, as he was holding the back of his leg after coming off the field in the second quarter. He then went to the locker room to be checked out, per KC Star’s Herbie Teope.

Watkins has had hamstring injuries off and on for his entire career, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise. His absence should help Mecole Hardman see more work and would make him startable if Watkins misses any time.
