Thursday update: Watkins did not practice on Thursday as the Chiefs began preparations for Monday’s game with the Bills. He is not expected to practice this week.

Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Sammy Watkins will miss ‘a couple weeks’ due to a hamstring injury suffered in Week 5, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Watkins has been having a good season, with 21 receptions for 222 yards and two touchdowns, and was missed last week as the Chiefs fell to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday.

Watkins will have his snaps replaced by Demarcus Robinson and Mecole Hardman. Against the Raiders, both played a season high in snaps, but Hardman has been gradually securing more snaps as the season has gone on. He should have some fantasy appeal while Watkins recovers.
