The Tulsa Golden Hurricane were riding high after their win over the #11 Central Florida Knights just two weeks ago, but yet another Covid-19 cancelation hits their schedule as the Cincinnati Bearcats won’t make it to Oklahoma for TU’s Homecoming game on Saturday, October 17th.
“I’m disappointed, first, for our football student-athletes and coaches, and obviously for our staff who has prepared so diligently, our campus and the City of Tulsa” said Tulsa’s Director of Athletics Rick Dickson in a statement. “As the university, the conference and the NCAA have said throughout this pandemic, the health and safety of our student-athletes are at the forefront of all decisions.”
It’s another bad break for Tulsa, who have now had five games canceled or postponed due to the pandemic.
