How the public is betting Gillian Robertson vs. Poliana Botelho at UFC Fight Island 6

In the only women’s bout on the preliminary card of UFC Fight Island 6, #15 Gillian Robertson will take on Poliana Botelho in a flyweight contest live from Fight Island in Abu Dhabi and available on ESPN+.

One of two women’s bouts in the event, Robertson recently lost to #10 Maycee Barber, but will be favored on the moneyline. She’s not a great striker but is a terrific grappler, averaging 3.33 takedowns per 15 minutes. Robertson has recorded at least two takedowns in four of her five victories. That’s her strength, but as a striker she’s averaging 1.96 significant strikes while absorbing 2.38.

As for Botelho, she’s going to be entering with an 8-2 MMA record and 3-1 in the UFC. If she can manage a victory, this would be her first ranked win. Averaging 3.65 significant strikes per minutes and connecting on 58 percent of them, Botelho needs to fight to her strength. While she’s a competent grappler as well, this bout will favor her if it’s fought upright.

As for the splits, this fight is pretty close with a slim majority still on the favorite.
