We’re back in Abu Dhabi! Brian Ortega and “Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung meet in a featherweight bout at UFC Fight Island 6 on October 17th. The sixth edition of Fight Island provides a really good main event as two elite fighters will duke it out in hopes of getting closer to a title shot. It’s a fight was originally scheduled to take place last year and earlier this year, but injuries, a torn ACL for Ortega and an eye injury for Sung Jung, have delayed the contest until now.
Ortega is an elite fighter who, despite not having fought in almost two years, could be in line for a title shot soon. It would help to beat a living legend in the Korean Zombie who does not shy away from a slobber knocker. A now-grudge match after trading verbal blows, the #2 ranked featherweight will look to get back on track after a humiliating loss to then champion Max Holloway. Ortega, while great, will look to shake off along layoff and it won’t be easy.
The Korean Zombie Chan is a true fan favorite for his fantastic fights all throughout his UFC career. More of an aggressor, Chan should have an advantage in this one. Ortega is not the heavy hitting type and can’t really take much damage, as the Holloway fight showed. Zombie, meanwhile, goes toe to toe for seemingly ever as his past fights have shown. The bettors expect a Korean Zombie victory.
