The No. 1 Clemson Tigers will look to cruise through their ACC schedule when they head on the road to play the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Saturday, Oct. 17.

Clemson is crushing any team in its way right now, and it seems to be a matter of whether the Tigers want to cover or not. The Tigers were expected to see somewhat of a test on Saturday, but they handled the Miami Hurricanes fairly easily for a 42-17 victory. The defense shut down D’Eriq King and the Miami offense, and the offense was flawless. Trevor Lawrence threw for three touchdowns and nearly 300 yards. Travis Etienne rushed for 149 yards and two touchdowns.

As for Georgia Tech, it is coming off a nice win over the Louisville Cardinals on Friday night. It was a one-score game midway through the fourth quarter, but Georgia Tech ended up winning 46-27 with a pair of late scores. Jeff Sims finished 11 of 21 passing with 249 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown and 64 yards on seven rush attempts.

Clemson won the last five games in this series including a 52-14 home win in 2019.

The Best Bet

Betting on Clemson games is a difficult thing to do because it can basically decide how it wants the game to go and how many points it will win by. Clemson is a lot more than 27 points better than Georgia Tech, but what incentive would the Tigers have to rub it in in this scenario? It’s very possible Georgia Tech struggles to do anything against the Clemson defense, so let’s go with the under.
