Sunday AM update: Joe Burrow faces the #1 ranked defense in the Colts today, though they may be without star linebacker Darius Leonard. Burrow will have a tough day regardless.
Joe Burrow was off to a great start in his rookie campaign, as he averaged 19.08 fantasy points per game in the first four weeks of the season. Then Burrow met the Baltimore defense and all of that success came to a screeching halt, as he struggled to a total of 183 passing yards, no touchdowns, one fumble and one interception in Week 5. Can Burrow bounce back in Week 6 against the Colts? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bengals QB Joe Burrow
After several weeks of solid outings, Joe Burrow and the Bengals offense was stymied by the Baltimore defense. Unfortunately for Cincinnati, the road just gets rougher in Week 6, as they face a stout Colts secondary. Indianapolis is allowing a league-low average of only 179 passing yards per game and a completion percentage of 61.3%, placing them in the top five of that category.
These numbers are not promising for Joe Burrow to get back on track this week. It is also worth noting, that A.J. Green may be out with a hamstring injury, leaving the Bengals with one less offensive weapon. While he may be worth a start in a plus match-up, the Colts are an opponent to avoid. For these reasons, Joe Burrow should remain on benches this week.
