Game status: Beckham and Landry are ACTIVE for Week 6.
Game day update: Beckham and Landry are both expected to play on Sunday, per Adam Schefter.
The Cleveland Browns were forced to send wide receiver Odell Beckham home from the team facility on Thursday with an unspecified (non-COVID) illness. The league requires that players who are sick be tested before they can return, and Beckham was cleared on Saturday morning. He’s still listed as questionable, but the Browns should have him in the lineup on Sunday against the Steelers.
Jarvis Landy should be in the lineup this week too, despite being listed as questionable with a hip and ribs injury.
Fantasy Football analysis: Browns WRs Odell Beckham Jr., Jarvis Landry
On paper, it looks like a tough matchup. However, this is a Steelers team that gave up 29 points to the struggling Eagles last week, most notably a 10-catch, 152-yard, and one-touchdown game for Travis Fulgham. That bodes well for Beckham, who has established himself as Baker Mayfield’s top option in the passing game. He’s averaging six targets per game so far this season, with 294 yards and three touchdowns, plus a rushing touchdown two weeks ago.
Landry has played better in recent weeks, posting a season-high 88 receiving yards last week against the Colts, and tossing a touchdown pass on a trick play two weeks ago. He’s still a little too consistent to rely on week in and week out for an offense that’s built around the run.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Odell Beckham. Sit Jarvis Landry.
