The Cleveland Browns will look to improve an abysmal record vs the Steelers and will hope the tight ends can contribute. In Austin Hooper and David Njoku, they have a pair of true receiving tight ends. How will they fare fantasy wise?
Fantasy Football analysis: Browns TEs Austin Hooper, David Njoku
Starting with Hooper, the prized free agent acquisition will look to continue last week’s solid performance. Hooper led the Browns in targets with 10 last week and added to it with a season high in yards, 57. Similar numbers could be beneficial as Baker Mayfield looks for him in the flat and his targets prove he will get some action. At 11.4 yards per catch, his numbers are solid. Some red zone usage would be helpful, as he has one touchdown this season and could really use more.
Njoku made his return to the lineup after spending three games on injured reserve because of a knee injury, as the Browns operated with a full set of tight ends for the first time since Week 1. Because of that, he was third in snaps at TE. That does not bode well for him fantasy wise. After seeing only one catch last week expect something similar as they ease him back in.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Hooper, sit Njoku.
