Dalton Schultz has been hit or miss so far this season, having anywhere from one to nine receptions in a game. He played a very minor role in Week 5 as he had only one reception for six yards on three targets. Is Schultz worthy of a spot in your Week 6 starting lineup? We break down the fantasy analysis below.
Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys TE Dalton Schultz
Schultz seemed to be making a case for himself as a TE1 when he averaged 15.9 PPR points per game in Weeks 2-4. Unfortunately, his humbling 1.6 PPR point performance in Week 5 has cast some doubt on that case. The Cowboys offense will likely have a new look in Week 6, and only time will tell what Schultz’s role in this new scheme will be. There is a chance that the Cowboys become more conservative with more short and safe passes, which would benefit Schultz. The Arizona defense has also been historically kind to tight ends. Schultz is worth a start, especially as a bye week fill in, but he comes with some risk given the uncertainty of Dallas’s new offensive look.
