What to do with Ezekiel Elliott in Week 6 fantasy football

We go over Ezekiel Elliott’s fantasy football outlook ahead of the Cowboys Week 6 matchup against the Cardinals.

The Cowboys game plans for the remainder of the season had to be scrapped after a devastating injury to QB Dak Prescott. The once pass-heavy team might need to rethink that approach going forward with a backup at the helm.

What exactly will that mean for RB Ezekiel Elliott?

Fantasy Football analysis: Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott

The Cowboys will likely scale back their passing attack and give Elliott more touches, especially in Andy Dalton’s first week as the full-time starter. They won’t abandon the pass all together, and they shouldn’t, considering the talent they have at wide out. But Elliott will undoubtedly see his touches and his fantasy points increase in the coming weeks.

This week is a nice match up for Elliott as well, taking on the Arizona Cardinals defense. Arizona is giving up an average of 21 fantasy points to running backs each week, and that number is skewed lower as well thanks to the Jets who got just nine fantasy points last week.

Plus, it’s not like Elliott has been a slouch so far. He has five rushing touchdowns through as many games and is averaging over four yards per carry. All of those should see an increase this week.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Elliott will for sure see bigger numbers this week as the Cowboys scale back their passing game and focus on running the ball.

Start Elliott.
