Matthew Stafford and the Lions will look to get back on track after a tough Week 4 loss to New Orleans. They’ve had an extra week to prepare due to their Week 5 bye, and they will face a favorable Jacksonville defense in Week 6. Stafford has had a decent floor this year and is averaging a respectable 18.3 fantasy points per game, but has yet to have a big performance. What can we expect from Stafford this week and is he worth adding to your starting lineup? We break down the fantasy analysis below.

Fantasy Football analysis: Lions QB Matthew Stafford

The Jacksonville Jaguars have only managed to hold one opponent under 30 points this season, and that was the Colts in Week 1. They are allowing an average of 280 passing yards per game and are affording opposing quarterbacks a generous 75.8 completion percentage. They have allowed 11 passing touchdowns in five games. All of these statistics point to Matthew Stafford having a successful Week 6 outing. The Jaguars defense is banged up as well, with many big names dealing with injuries, including DJ Hayden, Myles Jack, and DJ Henderson. The Lions have been able to put up 20+ points in each of their prior games this season against more capable defenses. Look for Stafford to capitalize on a plus matchup and start him as a low end QB1.
