What to do with Kyle Allen in Week 6 fantasy football

Kyle Allen held his own before being knocked out of last week’s game vs. the Rams. What are the prospects for the third-year QB against the woeful Giants this Sunday?

Kyle Allen got the nod as the Washington Football Team’s starting quarterback last week, replacing Dwayne Haskins who sat out of Sunday’s 30-10 loss to the Rams with a non-COVID related illness.

Holding his own before leaving the game with a shoulder injury, the third-year QB out of Houston was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and is set to start again when Washington visits the New York Giants for a divisional showdown this Sunday.

Fantasy Football analysis: Washington QB Kyle Allen

Making his season debut last week, Allen was able to orchestrate a 10 play, 73 yard drive that he personally capped with a seven-yard rushing touchdown to give the Football Team an early 7-6 advantage.

However, a helmet-to-helmet hit by Jalen Ramsey in the second quarter knocked him out of the game, triggering Washington to turn to a returning Alex Smith. However, head coach Ron Rivera has confirmed that Allen will get the start.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Finishing his brief outing last Sunday by going 9-of-13 through the air for 74 yards and the aforementioned rushing TD, there’s potential for the Washington starter to produce solid numbers against the sputtering Giants.

However, there are better options to look to at quarterback this week so I’d sit Allen.
