The Tampa Bay Buccaneers face the Green Bay Packers this Sunday in a great matchup between two of the best NFC teams. In the receiver room, few franchises are better than Tampa Bay’s corps and Green Bay is not one of them.
Finally healthy, Chris Godwin and Mike Evans will look to lead this team to victory against a middle of the pack Packers defense. They have a good chance being a great on-two punch for the offense. With an emerging Scotty Miller, the Bucs have real options.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs WRs Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Scotty Miller
Mike Evans is a bona fide number 1 receiver in the NFL and despite not having a full practice this week should see a bevy of targets. Last time out he had one TD and caught five balls for 41 yards. That was versus a very good Bears defense, so things should improve this week. With him having caught at least one TD in every game this season, expect around 10 targets and more of the same in the red zone as he is a favorite target of Tom Brady’s.
Godwin, after being out last week against Chicago, returns and should have a great come back game. A really quick receiver with great hands, he has home run potential and should receive from 5-8 targets, some of them deep. Godwin has 11 catches for 143 yards and a touchdown in his two games this year. With similar numbers he should be a starter in all leagues.
Scotty Miller, is a new target for Brady. After Brady seemingly found a real connection with him, it did cool off in the last game. So much so that last week he laid a goose egg against a good Bears defense. He is pretty much a coin flip this week as he is battling an injury and did not fully participate in practice.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Start Evans and Godwin, bench Miller.
