Devonta Freeman had significantly more carries than any other New York Giants running backs on Sunday with Wayne Gallman and Dion Lewis as the clear backups.
How will the Giants’ backfield play out on Sunday? Let’s take a closer look.
Fantasy Football analysis: Giants RBs Devonta Freeman, Wayne Gallman, Dion Lewis
In New York’s 37-34 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, Freeman carried the ball 60 yards on 17 carries with one touchdown. He also led the backfield in receiving with a pair of catches for 27 yards. Gallman finished with 24 yards on five carries in addition to two receptions for zero yards. Lewis caught two passes for one yard.
Freeman appears to be the main guy, though Gallman and Lewis could be used more moving forward.
The Giants will match up with the Washington Football Team, which allowed 129 yards to the Los Angeles Rams trio of backs Cam Akers, Darrell Henderson Jr. and Malcolm Brown on Sunday.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Freeman can safely be inserted into fantasy lineups as a low-end second running back. No other Giants running backs should be anywhere near fantasy lineups in Week 6.
