The New York Jets wide receivers are struggling with injuries right now impacting some of the team’s top pass catchers. If you are a fantasy owner of Jamison Crowder, Breshad Perriman or Jeff Smith, what’s the plan moving forward?
Let’s dive in and let you know what you should be doing with this group.
Fantasy Football analysis: Jets WRs Jamison Crowder, Breshad Perriman, Jeff Smith
In last weekend’s game against the Arizona Cardinals, Crowder put on a fantastic performance, catching eight of his 10 targets for 116 yards with a touchdown. Smith caught just three of 11 targets for 23 yards. Perriman missed the game with an ankle injury.
Jets wide receiver Chris Hogan suffered a high ankle sprain on Sunday and was sent to the IR, but Perriman could return from an ankle injury and is listed as questionable. In addition, rookie Denzel Mims returned to practice this week.
New York will be matched up with the Miami Dolphins, which held the combination of Jimmy Garoppolo and C.J. Beathard to 16 of 35 passing for 128 yards with one touchdown and a pair of interceptions, both thrown by Garoppolo.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Fantasy owners may comfortably slot Crowder into lineups as a solid wide receiver No. 2 option without any hesitation. Whether he plays or not, Perriman cannot be trusted in his first game back, and Smith should remain on fantasy benches this weekend.
