Game status: Fournette is INACTIVE for Week 6.
Game day update: Fournette is expected to be active on Sunday but given a limited workload, per Adam Schefter.
Wondering whether or not Leonard Fournette will play this week? Well, you will have to wait until Sunday to find out. Head coach Bruce Arians said as much on Friday afternoon. Fournette is still dealing with an ankle injury, and he’s one of three players on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading into this week’s marquee matchup with the Packers with a questionable designation.
Fantasy impact: Bucs RB Leonard Fournette injury
Fournette was active last week, but only as an emergency reserve—he didn’t get a single touch. He hasn’t been in action since Week 3, when he suffered his current ankle injury. Ronald Jones has been handling the work with Fournette and LeSean McCoy out of action.
The Packers present a formidable opponent for the Bucs, but if there’s one weakness in their defense, it’s against the run. Green Bay is allowing 4.8 yards per rushing attempt and an average of more than 100 yards per game.
Unfortunately, the split duties between an active Fournette and Jones makes it hard to predict solid fantasy numbers for either player.
