Trey Burton did a little but of everything for the Indianapolis Colts in their Week 6 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals. The tight end scored twice while filling in for Mo Alie-Cox. Burton notched a rushing score and also caught four passes for 58 yards and a touchdown. He was targeted five times.
Burton is rostered in 20 percent of Yahoo leagues. Alie-Cox was a top 20 fantasy tight end through Week 5 and has emerged as one of Philip Rivers’ favorite red zone targets. Jack Doyle caught all three of his targets for 29 yards and a score in Week 6, so he’ll likely remain a factor when Alie-Cox returns.
While Burton is averaging more than five targets per game and has been productive, I’d stay away from him in season-long fantasy. Indianapolis likes to utilize all its tight ends so depending on consistent production fro Burton is risky.
