Are the Jets going to go 0-16 this season?

The Jets stink. This is not a shocking revelation, but in Week 6 they were once again a disaster. The Dolphins shut them out 24-0, and this game was never competitive. The Jets point differential now sits at -110, with the Jaguars next closest at -56.

We’ll be tracking draft order throughout the season, and at the moment, the Jets hold the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. They’re only one game worse than five teams, but it feels like the difference is astronomical. The 1-5 teams including the Giants, Falcons, Jaguars, Vikings, and Washington. All have serious flaws, but none seems nearly as awful as the Jets.

The question right now is if the Jets will even win a game this season. Looking at the rest of their 2020 schedule, it’s hard to find a win from the remaining ten games:

Week 12: vs. Dolphins
Week 13: vs. Raiders

The Chargers in Week 11 and the Raiders at home in Week 13 make sense. The Chargers appear committed to rookie quarterback Justin Herbert, and there will be growing pains. The Raiders are coming off a stunning upset of the Chiefs at Arrowhead, but they are a team who can crap the bed on occasion. Some folks think the home game against the Browns would be one to consider. The Browns have shown they’re not ready for quality opposition — getting thumped by Baltimore and Pittsburgh — but they’ve impressed against inferior opposition.

All of this is to say, I wish I had gotten some action on Jets to go 0-16 because I just don’t see them winning a game. Getting receiver help back is a big plus, but I just don’t see Breshad Perriman’s return being the difference-maker for them moving forward.
