Report: Miles Sanders will miss 1-2 weeks, but avoided significant injury

The Eagles continue to be decimated by injuries. Their starting running back avoided a serious injury, but still likely won’t return until Week 10.

Update: It appears that Sanders’ knee injury isn’t going to keep him out longterm, per ESPN. His timetable appears to be 1-2 weeks, that would push him to Week 9, but that is the Eagles bye week. Week 10 against the Giants appears to be the safest return date at the moment.

Philadelphia Eagles running back Miles Sanders won’t be able to play Thursday night against the Giants, per ESPN’s Chris Mortenson. No other information has surfaced regarding the extent of his injury as of yet. There wasn’t much hope he would be able to get his knee right with such a short turnaround, so now we wait to see if he could miss more than just Thursday.

Boston Scott is Sanders’ backup and should get the start Thursday. He’s worth a pickup, but will likely be more useful in PPR leagues this week.
