Update, Oct. 22: Mike Garafolo of NFL Network reports that he is told the “firm timeline” for Zach Ertz is now 4-6 weeks. If he stays on target with this timeline, the soonest we should expect to see him is Week 10, as the Eagles face the New York Giants.
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Zach Ertz will reportedly miss 3-4 weeks with an ankle injury, per ESPN’s Chris Mortenson. The Eagles are pushing the 49ers for most injuries to start the season, as they also won’t have running back Miles Sanders this week. Ertz hasn’t been effective this season, but has still leads the team in targets by a wide margin.
Tight end Dallas Goedert should be returning from I.R. sooner than later, but news of his recovery hasn’t been reported recently and he would likely have trouble getting ready for this Thursday as it is. But, this is a great time to check to see if he has been dropped in your league.
